Initially it works well but with the passage of time its efficiency decreases. Do these steps in order to reset your router:
If your router is switched off then first connect a power cable to it and then plug-in the other side of this cable into a socket.
Now look for the reset button on your machine. Generally it is located behind the machine.
Press this reset button and keep pressing it for at least 10 seconds. In the meanwhile power on the device.
After releasing the button, leave the modem untouched for 5-10 minutes while it completes booting.
When the indicator lights stops blinking this indicates the booting has been done and now you can switch of the device and you are done.
